Team Chicago Academy-Botafogo got off to a great start at the Ohio Elite College Showcase in Cincinnati, OH with a 2-1 win over St. Louis Scott Gallagher (ECNL).

Playing some great soccer Botafogo went up 1-0 in the 1st half on a great goal after two passing sequences between Hope D’Addario and Zoey Goralski. The latter of the two was a perfectly weighted pass over the top from Hope, which Zoey ran down and one touched out of the air and around the GK and the last defender before easily slotting it home.

Halfway through the 2nd half Hope and Zoey again linked up before Hope played a low, driven cross into the 6-yard box for Dana Miller to latch onto. Dominant for most of the game, Botafogo did squander a few chances to put the game away, and instead SLSG cut the lead in half with 2 minutes left, but Botafogo held on for the win against their ECNL foe.

Today Botafogo will face Dynamo FC from Indiana at 2pm.
