Team Chicago Academy-Botafogo beat Dynamo FC from Indiana 7-0 on the second day of the Ohio Elite College Showcase.

Botafogo scored 4 goals in the opening 20 minutes to put the game out of hand, and then cruised to a comfortable win. Hope D’Addario opened the scoring on a freekick from 25 yards, and then followed up with an assist on Dana Miller’s goal a few minutes later. Great individual efforts from Dani Pitaro and Zoey Goralski in a 2-minute span then made it 4-0 before Darby Moran scored a great goal from the distance off Molly Piech’s assist in the final minute of the half.

Botafogo took the foot of the pedal a bit in the 2nd half, but a perfectly worked overlap between Julianna DePoister and Jillian Van Kampen followed by a great low, driven cross from Jillian found its way to Kendall Wilde who easily slotted it home to make it 6-0. And Gianna Dal Pozzo then closed out the scoring on a header off a Hope D’Addario corner. This last assist gave Hope a goal and 4 assists in the two games at the Showcase.

Kiley Dunning earned the shutout in goal.

Botafogo will play the host – Ohio Elite – tomorrow morning for the last game of event, and of the 2010-11 regular season.
